If I Only Had One

4 sleepless nights, longing to obtain
Just one wish is all I will ever ask
Climb the top of a tallest mountain
To slowly reveal my inner dark mask
Curse out Cupid like a sailor or captain
I beg of you God, grant me this one task
Twice he urinated in my Love Fountain
Wrote sad quotes on my heart's cask
For strength I pray to scrub away stain

Freedom Fries

From my bottom lip, red blood gush
Don't know why it hurts so much
Still, the pen in my hand won't hush
Television advertisements to flush

The evolution of our mores to squash
Our old diet needs CPR with a brush
Now, fast food runs in our IV like slush
For Breakfast, snack, dinner and lunch
We design clothes with a diabetes touch

Carring fat cells without a single blush
Such is life, we are last to know much
Now, read my bruised lip like Sr. Bush
Before you line up for fries in a rush

Join the food education, don't push
Shout it: "We won't drink diet Crush!"
Which CEO eats garbage on a couch
So much, a heart attack made him say: "Ouch"?

PS: "Robert, your soup is ready"

Yours Sincerely,

I sat down to write something happy
Something very simple very ordinary
I held my breath to escape reality
My right hand caressed my chin slowly
The left hand held the ink pen magically
A warm feeling consumed me heavenly
My dear Mama would be proud of me

I sat in my bedroom looking clumsy
What would I write? Sounds scary
A letter? A picture? It must be poetry
Must be something powerful, almighty
Going viral from here to Germany
To free every child’s dream in Haiti
Something for Lyons and Gregory
Something for the youth and Papy
To be cherished for all eternity
Extremely excited I saw it vividly
Something sweet, harder then candy
More valuable then a lucky penny
Something I would not feel sorry
Simple yet bold, real yet visionary
To shy away the porn star industry
“No underline issue with women” my Lady
Cross your legs, I see your insecurity
Something huge to unite every country
To erase mortgage debt, misery and poverty
Something that revolutionize humanity
Enemies unite under a single currency
To finally stop man made fear factory
With peace sign embroidered on an army
I sat down to write something friendly
Closed my eyes and counted to three
I wrote: “Love life, unconditionnaly”
Yours sincerely,

A Big Heart

The less and less nap I take
The more more money I make
It quadruples my headache

On the world web my eyes bake
5 in the morning I'm still awake
Much more knowledge to rake

For the love of Mighty God sake!
As my smile been replaced with a fake?
This passport I.D. reads Uncle Jake

Capitalist tried to sell me a diet cake
With a house of cards as big as a lake
My heart still could not fit in the door,
so we parted ways with a hand shake

The Old Port Of York

To Mr. Port of York

If this was to be my last, let it be my very best.

The rhymes of a carved poem hides the journey of a teen
Line by line the verse marks each shy steps of a dream
Eyes field with ! paints secret desire to unite as a team
The pier's new silhouette bridge places he has never ever been
How the heart skips a musical note on the internet to be seen

Mind full of ? the old Port of York turned from brown to green
Rust colored spots marked the unhappiness of an harbor's been
Mr. Port of York was set in his first born gauche ways so mean
Constant metal creaks nurtured rhythm to his blues unclean
Mouth full of bubble soap a teen chased a mirage smoke screen

Second Round K.O.

If...

knowledge defeats fear
Paper prevails over rock
Music triumphs mental illness
Hugs overpower depression
Laughter vanquishes suicide
Arts, well, you know!

Exercise overrides stress
A smile overpowers prejudice
Sex, yes, it is true!

Green tea combats heart disease
The internet breakdown boarders
Water cleanse a dark soul
Literacy surmounts ignorance

Then...

Love will conquer everything else

Ms., the key to one's heart is always located under the "Welcome Home" doormat.

Pssst! As you make your way inside the house, Jimmy is sleeping in the living room, be VERY LOUD.

Unplug

"Love thy neighbor" needs a real long hug
Revolution 2.0 shall not be sparked on this blog
Even if justice has been buried deep under a rug
The power to overcome sleeps within like a log

Like a bitter blind man leading a blind dog
I fear the wrath of men more then I fear God
Bamboozled by his truth with a thicker fog

"Give peace a voice" reads on his white coffee mug
Yet, I saw politicians feast greed with a roasted hog
Back hand slapped world peace Like a prison thug

Religious and class division are more lethal then a slug
Aid by the news media to destroy our mind and unclog
Ruthless hate, pain and anger inflated like a bull frog

"Fight it" buzz in my hear like computer virus bug
Inner revolution shall be written twice on this blog
Judas kiss is powerless from the rat race when you unplug
"Love thy self" is the greatest love of all to be shared in your jog

Apartment #13

This Valentine's Day...

Some went eating at an Asian restaurant
Gave each other chocolate candy mints
Made love in a candle scented hotel room

Some sealed their last unrequited love letter
Before they exchanged secret wedding vows
Then flirted with X in the man's washroom

Others made a wish at the strike of 11:00 PM
Waited for their cellphone to ring that special tune
While reminiscing on their first dance with a broom

In apartment #13, they argued the whole night long
Blessed to have each other to argue with, nothing wrong
Can't blame them, that's how they express their love song

Why!

Must you keep asking me why?
Why must all the good ones die?
We must have told her white lies
She ran for the door when we said "hi"
Turned to drugs without a single sigh
Why must the good ones wish to fly
Escaping life's reality as they got high
Lifted their arms to the Diva blue sky
But hide behind a crack pipe so shy
Why must you be sweet the tears I cry
Why not pay tribute before she died
Her golden voice can never be silence
Not even with a long kiss goodbye

Rest in eternal peace, Whitney Houston

What You Need To Know Before I Open My Heart

Gooooood mooooooooorning World,

Since it has been a while we last spoke, hope you're all keeping a fresh smile on your face as we strive through pressures of life, finances and relationship. "Mr. Mercier keep strong" is an order from (...), so, I am holding it together.

What do you need to know before I open my mind? Because I am ready to share knowledge, experiences and thoughts on "LOVE".

Why love? Well why not, it's something positive and light to talk about before the approaching Valentine's Day. And before I do share my personal wisdom, please be aware that I am no expert, scientist or guru. I don't wish to sound like I am an arrogant "Dr. Love", but just a simple fan of it who truly believes that "love" is the motor and power behind the advancement of civilisation (not politic, religion, finances or war, etc.). I will explain later, but for now, keep smiling, keep warm and keep love in your heart until we meet again very soon.

Get set, picture time: "One, two, three say : I love myself!"

Check Mate

We have overcome, We have overcome
We have overcome today in his gracious glory
The Lord saw us trough the uphill roads of victory
We are now one, walking hand in hand in harmony
Never were we afraid to fight for peace and unity
The dream of Dr. King Jr. still breathe firing life in me
Oh, deep in our hearts we believed we were worthy
Today, we have overcome in your name, blessed trinity
Deep in our hearts we never lost faith in "WE"

Thou

Thou can not ask me to change the world
Like asking a poker gambling addict to fold
Praying totem pole for a loving heart gone cold
Our self destruction on page six reads in bold

Intereō! Me versus man was too weak to hold
Religion to control our minds was once Visa sold
Quid novī? The greatest bible story ever to be told
"Total Respect" use to be worth more then white gold

Grātias!

I Want My Money Back

You can keep your newspaper, I want my money back!

We are only six days in the new year, January 6th 2012, I am still reading about murders, suicide bombing, religious sex scandal, job lost, political and business frauds, market debt problems, Will and Jada Smith's divorce rumors, etc...

What happened to "I wish you a Merry Christmas!" or "Happy New Year 2012!"? What has changed from 2011? Am I still stuck back in time? When will my wish come true? When will I see a genuine smile with a peace sign on the cover of my local newspaper?

Shame on us, we got fooled once again by marketing propaganda hype. New year eve's celebration is just any other day with no real advancement, a marketing ruse for common people to spend money, buy alcohol, dress up and party for just that day only. Because, I still see the same old news fear coming from the same old tears. Ain't it a crying shame?

Keep your $$$$ news, I want my money back;)

Letter to Nelson Mandela

A Billionaire's Final Chapter,

If I was a rich billionaire, I would take time to write to Nelson Mandela and say:

"Dear Mr. Mandela,

I, Louis Mercier, wish you a Happy New Year 2012,

I am deeply sorry for the wait in receiving this letter, I cherish your patience.
If you didn't know, I had to work very hard to make a billion dollars out of $0.69

I hope and pray that this letter finds you and your new wife very well.
Since time is of great issue, I write these words in order to uncover the truth behind the failed marriage with your second wife, Winnie Madikizela-Mandela.

Please be so kind to open my eyes and soul with the honest truth. You were able to overcome years of imprisonment to be elected as South Africa's president and erased its apartheid, yet your marriage to Winnie "Mother of the Nation" didn't stand a chance once you walked the path to freedom. What was it? Was it her cooking? Was it worse then Robben Island jail?

Was it Winnie's thirst for power and political mistakes along the way that closed your heart to her?
Was she jealous and dissatisfied of her own work recognition while you we being held as a hero behind bars?
Is it true that your enemies found a way to manipulate her mind with insecurities in hopes to destroy you and your love for her?

Regardless of the real reasons, I congratulate your lioness courage for your humanitarian social work and being able to move on in the arms of your third wife, Graça Machel.

Take good care Mr. Mandela, wishing you great health and joy as you dance the night away with Mme. Machel

PS: Does love really conquer all, or is it just a marketing phrase for us to buy Chocolates and flowers on Valentine's day?

Billionaire Part 4

If I was a rich billionaire I would print on a t-shirt:

"Does money + power = respect?"

The beginning,

"In this country, you gotta make the money first.
When you get the money, you get the power.
When you get the power, you loose all touch with reality."

-- X

What if a rich politician, by the name of "X" had raped and killed a woman named "Y", and paid the justice system to receive a "Not guilty" verdict of all charges during his case deliberation. Is that power?

The same politician, by the name of "X" who has enjoyed several additional years of corruptions and violent rape crimes is now dying of a strange illness, it has been reported through word of mouth that Mr. "X" couldn't find enough money and resources in this world to pay Doctor "Z" for the antidote, being the only person with knowledge to cure this strange illness. Is that power?

On Mr. "X" death bed, he paid and sent three men to force doctor "Z" to come see him immediately in his master bedroom and said: "Doctor Z everything in life has a price, everything can be bought with the right price. How much will it take to hear the answer on why you didn't sell me the antidote for my illness?" Doctor Z replied, "No need to pay me for that answer, I will freely give you the antidote's formula if you give me the name of the woman you raped and killed seven years ago" Mr. "X" quickly interrupted while coughing his own blood and said "I have raped and killed many women, doctor, I don't have much time to live or to name several names. Give me a price, I will honor it".

Doctor Z quietly pulled a chair nearby and sat. "Mr. X, with due respect, I have all the time in the world to hear you name each woman's name because one of the women was my wife." A cold silence filled the room before Mr. X dyed of a hearth attach after realizing the effect of his actions. In his dying words Mr. X toke his last breath and say: "Why me?"

The end.

Have you been kind lately?

I look around through history, powerful men have lost touch with reality, the so called "Power" went to their head, inflating their ego that made them think and act like they were God. You can buy love or order to kill a man, is that respect?

Ask any fallen dictators if all the money in the world could buy true love or could kill another nation. True power and respect comes from the unity of people with the kindness of the heart.

Again, have you been kind lately?

Billionaire Part 3

If I was a rich billionaire
I would buy all the bullets in the world
to control guns

I would shutdown the world wide web on weekends
advocate for families to spend quality time together
to control violence

I would acquire every nuclear power in each country
point them back at their government
to control peace

I would deal with airline companies around the world
for humans to travel for free during the month of March
to control ignorance

I would invest in every advertising firms in each city
to educate women on mental health
to control their insecurities

I would manage all the strip clubs in each state
to teach men about self respect and patience
to control divorces

I would unite billionaires in each country
to volunteer in a local community center
to control greed

Or I would bargain with Google, Microsoft and others
to create a website called: www.doyoureallyneedthat.com
to control the economy

I would purchase every watches in my neighborhood
to learn to take time for myself
to control my smile;)

Billionaire Part 2

A rich billionaire minus the vent
I would ask millionaires to repent
We would join protesters in their tent

I would hire investigator with a red cent
To report promptly on where time went
I just celebrated 99 years without dent

A machine built with money well spent
To travel in my past and erase "I can't"
Revisited where I first payed $250 rent

I learned what "amore" really meant
A secret to carry to my grave never rant
Some things should not be traded for lent

Whispered gently while forward bent
"Love isn't blind I can see you" in a chant
To recall her wet hair perfume sent
I sealed a last kiss in the basement

Billionaire Part 1

If I was a rich billionaire
Made fortunes in software
I would give my soul to care
Dye white and gold my hair
Be chained for people to stare
Raised global awareness so rare
For pollution killing polar bears
Help Yahoo! and Microsoft to pair
Any other companies who dare
In the advancement of us to share
For permanent happiness to wear

Black Crow

Stars are wrapped with a silver bow
From the comfort of my bedroom window
Hugging tenderly a feathered pillow
The night illuminates pedestrians bellow
Symphony of yellow taxi cab moves slow
Global warming is on stage I am in front row
December 25th only cold winds blow
Emptiness in my gaze with the radio low
Hands in prayer as tears start to flow
With each passing shadow the pain grows
Looking beyond the city lights glow
Wish I could fly away like a black crow
Escaping Christmas without its white snow

You Make Me Smile

Dedicated to the love of my life,

I tried to express myself in words
Write from the very core of my heart
Poetry or a single musical verse
Feelings to show the entire Universe
How much you mean to me
How much you inspire me to be
How often you picked me up
How you cheered me to the top
Without you, by my side, dearest
My life would have been a soap balloon
Drifting endlessly towards the moon
Anticipating for my faith to pop soon
Because of you, I am a shining rock at noon
Solid from life's obstacles in the wind
Your praise I shall always sing

Dedicated to YOU

Sugar Not Sweet

In a love seat
An animal in heat
How very sweet
Sugar not wheat
In my plate to eat
An exquisite taste
That can't be beat
Sugar how neat
Hugs every teeth
Sugar not meat
To now compete
Before diabetes
Falls at my feet

Sugar to delete
