So This Is Christmas!

Santa Claus, visited me last night. Mr. Claus gave me, underneath my Christmas tree, a:

3. Presentation skills
4. Written skills
5. Public speaking skills
6. Listening skills
7. Conflict resolution skills
8. Anger management skills
9. Business etiquette skills

Now, if God could just take a break and work on his magic to keep blessing me with "Organizational skills" :)

Chasing Luck

Yesterday, with a few dollars and very little sleep, through the fire, to the limit, to the wall I chased my shinning star. For just a chance of meeting you, like a slave running for freedom, to risk it all. Through the fire, through whatever came what may, I felt proud that day. For a chance at meeting Mr. Luck with opened arms, I took it all the way. 

Right down to the wire, through the fire while facing 21 questions, like a player running with a ball, I am proud to say I gave it my all.

With patience, hard work, focus, determination, dreaming and praying to meeting you another day.

PS: I'll be too busy cleaning my bedroom. Next time Mr. Luck you'll run to find me, not vise versa :)

Second Step

It's a long and winding road that will lead me to happiness, and I'm placing a second step forward by heading to school. However, while embracing the artist lifestyle for so long, I can't remember the last time I've burned the midnight oil studying for a test. Or feeling the stressful clicking sound of the clock on the wall, during any school exam, reminding me that time awaits for no one. Here and now, I'm taking a second step forward in learning more about the world of finance. 

I believe that my thoughts are very powerful. I am extremely brilliant at providing solutions in resolving personal relationships issues. I know inside out how to produce, direct or act in a feature film on a budget. I can feel love and sadness, I can share a tear or a smile. With the patience of Job, I can achieve anything that I place my mind to it. Yet, I find that I lack some key financial knowledge and discipline to add to my wealth of knowledge. There's no shame about it, since in my book of life, real shame is found in denying our personal problems and desire to keep avoiding them.

Today, I'm adding another string to my bow by taking a stance in returning to school to learn how these financial institutions are able to make the world turn with my hard earn income. Time to face the music of my youth and the clicking sound of my thoughts that lead me to believe the financial world was cold, heartless and evil.

I Believe In Me

I believe in me, if I can feel it, then I can do it. If I just believe it, then there's nothing to it. I once read: "Whatever the mind of a man can conceive and believe, it can achieve".

"I believe I can fly, I believe I can touch the sky. I think about it every night and day, spread my wings and fly away. 

I believe I can soar, I see myself running through that open door. 'Cause I believe in me".

I believe, all things are possible.

PS: Even if I dislike airplanes, it's still possible for me to conquer this fear and touch the sky :)

Today I Am Loved

I love quotations, especially the short ones with a subject on relationships, hope, love, faith or courage. To me, a quote represent a sliced of biographical moments in a person's life. We so often use a person's quote to remember or celebrate his life.

Quotations are also used as a safety net. A person often hide behind sayings of others to share a personal though he wish he could have said out loud with his own words.

To be quoted in a text or in a dialogue is to become famous, reaching success, to be remembered and loved. One fine day will come, when my own words of courage will ring like victory bells on a young dreamer's lips as he utters my very own words:

A Day In Sleepless Paradise

One sheep, two sheeps, three sheeps... what a day!

With little sleep from the previous night, while reading on possible financial investments, this morning I rushed to set for an Appleton Estate rum commercial production. We endure long hours on our feet during filming. Afterward, I still had strength to visit old filmmakers friends at a film club meeting. Felt good seeing a few of them and to recall on old times struggling to produce music video, commercial and a hand full of feature films.

Now finally in bed, four sheeps, five sheeps, six..., Before I could count more sheeps, a call rang on the phone, and it's back to business mode again. It wasn't Hollywood calling, but it sure felt nice being considered for a film project.

To take or not to take the offer? Hmmm! Time to start thinking about my near future plans.

Update December 12 2009: No additional film project, the offer went off the table as fast as it came. Time to keep focusing on developing my own projects. :)

Where has all my time gone, today? TIME, dear friend, you're soon to become history! Yesterday, I attended a seminar on how to accumulate wealth via real estate investments, in order to find time for what I love doing. The course wasn't useful but it sure was a major motivational boost in acquiring financial knowledge to build wealth. Now, I just need time to do it :)

First Step Forward

If a man's journey of a thousand miles begins with placing one single step forward, the next puzzling question a man must face is asking himself where should I place such a step? North, East, South, West? 

Yesterday, with a fist full of courage, I chose to take my journey's first step heading South to New York, New York. I went all over Manhattan, including the book store looking for inspiration. I became a Screen Actors Guild (SAG) member, then took a walk along Broadway street in search of a business opportunity. As I looked in people's blank faces walking by, I told myself : "If I can make it here, I'll make it anywhere". It's all up to me, New York, New York!

Oops!

On August 03 2009, in a dream, I lived to experience a Oops! While in a truck and being poorly guided through a narrow path of doubled parked rental cars, a scratch occurred on another car. Can't imagine how someone must feel when he's involved in a car accident that totaled the other person's car.

Power of Music

My very first concert I looked forward seeing, from a music legend, must have been Run DMC in Montreal, Qc. However, it was also a real treat to myself seeing Mr. Stevie Wonder work the stage during a rainy opening act at the 2009 Montreal Jazz Festival. I was blessed and overjoyed.

Still I Rise

Where there is a will, there must be a way! I just wish it came quicker.

On this day, August 6 2009, I have made a big step in finishing the CRTC application for our 2009 Motorcity film festival award winning film "Grange Avenue" and a big jump, for me, in finding my bed. Oh sweet bed, I am coming home to you baby!

One application down, and two more to go on my never endding "To do list".

So far so good with few hours to sleep! Still on my feet and still I rise!

Actor at work

You bring me joy, when I'm on set. Oh, so much joy, when I lose my way your love comes smiling on me. I saw your face, last Sunday, and then I knew we would be friends again, Ms. Entertainment Industry.

When you love me, I smile, I feel your hands and you feel mine. You bring me joy in acting up a fool on set, make me feel closer and closer to this childhood dream. Don't go too far away, if I can't see your face, I will remember your smile.

But can this be right, should I keep holding on, and should we be just friends. I get the blues sometimes and I'm mixed up again 'cause you're one of the finest thing I've seen in all my life... you bring me joy.

Three Fs

Rise up this morning, smiled with the risin sun. Three little birds, pitch by my doorstep. Singing sweet songs, of melodies pure and true. Saying: "This is my message to you, Louis Mercier, success is a state of the mind and it starts within. Feel it, live it and think of success and you will become successful."

I know you're in a better place, even though I can't see your face. I know you're smiling down on me, saying everything's okay. And I wish, if I make it out this hustling life, I'll see you again someday. Until then, may God provide a short path to our mountain of success and happiness.

As people know just what they'd like to do. Whatever it is, you've got it, as long as it pleases you. Make it last as long as you can! When you're through, it's up to you to try it again.

Can you feel it? 

It's time for a celebration, I just finished reading "Think and grow rich" by Napoleon Hill. Can you see it?  I am now back on track, focus, and going for broke.

One of the best quote I take away from reading this book is: "Whatever the mind of man can CONCEIVE and BELIEVE it can ACHIEVE".

In my soul reside a special gift that says I was built to last pursuing childhood dreams. Now that I am back on track, on this beautiful journey of life, I shall add these auto suggestions to stay focus and keep moving ahead in being the worlds happiest .

Free At Last

Imagine me,

I've been down so long, I've been hurt for so long, there were times I thought I would never see the break of day. It was hard for me to accept my faith in this relationship and I tried to believe surely this pain won't last always. It will get better between us. But night after night, I prayed the Lord to not take my joy and dreams away from me. Then early one morning, June 14 2009, I read in my path for true love that it was finally time to open my soul and try once again to save the relationship. Through another failed attempt, I'm glad to keep my faith that I will one day have another chance at love with someone else and my heart will dance.

Image me being free! Thank God Almighty, I am free at last! Free to be, to live and one fine day start from scratch, imagine me.

Everything that has happened in the past is now gone. Every mistake, depression, every failure its’ all gone! My scars, my pain it’s all in the past, it's yesterday 'cause it's all gone.
