There's A Hero

"In life, 2A, anything is possible when you believe in yourself."
-- Louis Mercier

"You just gotta ignite, the light, and let it shine
Just own the night like the 4th of July

'Cause baby you're a firework
Come on, show 'em what you're worth
Make 'em go, Oh
As you shoot across the sky

Baby, you're a firework
Come on, let your colors burst
Make 'em go, Oh
You're gonna leave 'em falling down"

--Katy Perry

"And then a hero comes along, with the strength to carry on
And you cast your fears aside, and you know you can survive
So when you feel like hope is gone, look inside you and be strong
And you'll finally see the truth, that a hero lies in you"

My breath

My friend, my rock, my breath, my life
Unlike no others, you stood by my side
Silence my inner greatest fears and tears
It's you who shield me with unfading love
Close doors to negativity, opened my soul to possibility

Music. My oomph, my zeal, my motivation, mon elan.
Very few artists have captured the true essence of how I truly feel about you
To you, my dearest friend, I dedicate "You bring me joy" by Anita Baker

Enjoy ;)

"You bring me joy when I'm down, so much joy
When I lose my way your love comes smiling on me
I saw your face and then I knew, we would be friends
I was so afraid, but your arms, they'd say: "Come to me."

So I'd say to you: "Can we talk for a while?"
You'd say: "Alright"
When you love me, I smile
I feel your hands and you feel mine
You bring me joy

You bring me joy, don't go too far away
If I can't see your face, I will remember that smile

But can this be right, or should we be friends
I get lonely sometimes and I'm mixed up again
'Cause you're the finest thing I've seen in all my life
You bring me joy

My joy, my joy
I believe this is gonna be what you want it to be
I just love you, I just love you, can't you see
That you're the best I've seen in all my life
You bring me joy

My joy... you're my joy

Thank you, baby. I just love you, baby
When I lose my way, your love comes smiling on me"

Toronto City - Part 2

They say we build igloo residency
Or we use Monopoly money currency
Ride polar bear to work instead of a taxi
Our free health care the source of their jealousy
Need a miserable toque to play street hockey
They say "Yo!" we say "Eh!" in our vocabulary
Only in Canada, our pride, God isn't synonym for money ;)

Back In 24hrs

Turning off the BB phone
Unpluging the MacBook I own
Effective immediately
Success will need to standstill
Delete any urge for me to t.h.i.n.k.
An order from my Dr. Good Sleep
You know ;)

Bottom In De Road

Note to self, rabbit foot to never sell
It ain't a little brag, it ain't hard to tell
Lucky to score promotions very well
Certify rules card, certify ticket sales
Certification earn over 5 months spell
Back in class with a laptop from Dell
What I really need is a gift in the mail
Call me Sleepless, call me crazy like Mel
I need a week vacation, can't you tell
Been working four weeks daily like hell
Eye lid fighting to hear the finish bell
Anything to flee the 9 to 7 working jail
I wish it was Monday, yesterday
I wish it was Tuesday, today
Wish it was another day, in holiday
Can't wait for Carnival to fly away
But, Tuesday is the night, shorty
Believe it or not, hold on tight baby
A black man is feeling to party party
In a dance, looking to boogie woogie
Woman, hold on to your man steadily
Ready or not, here comes Sr. Jimmy
Winning & jamming, flag waving
Steal pan rhythm is in my soul
For once, I'm ready to loose control ;)

On Your Mark, Get Set...

I surely miss Mr. Vandross. He would hold your breath in awh with his effortless angelic voice while singing: "The sun is shining, there's plenty of light. A new day is dawning, sunny and bright..."

As for me, this morning sunlight is sunny-delight filled with a strange aroma lingering through the air. Can you smell it too? I swear I could smell coffee brewing, as if I was back in my native land. Could it be that I am still sleeping with much work lining up ahead? Wake up world! Need to wake up, clean up, eat breakfast and bless another day of accomplishments from tasks listed on our ever ending "To do list".

Fist thing first, I can't be motivated and you are not. It's a brotherly/sisterly love thing. Great, you feel me! It's a "Together" thing! Then, we will both recite this inspiring poem to start our day:

"If you think you're beaten, you are,
If you think you dare not, you don't.
If you'd like to win, but think you can't,
It's almost for sure you won't.

If you think you're losing, you've lost.
For out in the world we find -
Success begins with a person's will,
It's all in the state of mind.

If you think you're outclassed, you are,
You've got to think high to rise.
You've got to be sure of yourself before
You can ever win a prize.

Life's battles don't always go,
To the stronger or faster man,
But soon or late the man who wins
Is the man WHO THINKS HE CAN!"

PS: Now, go get them Tiger, I am right behind you. Need five more minutes of sleep ;)

Dare To Live Your Dreams

"What the mind of man can conceive and believe, it can achieve"

-- Napoleon Hill

With courage gently folded in my back pocket, a smile curled on my lips and excitements running through the veins of my legs, I found my way to a meeting located downtown this afternoon. I must say: "It feels good to dream and conceive ideas in my head". That same feeling is even greater when I see myself extending my comfort level and daring myself to try something new. Instead of being overcome by inner fear, today, I chose to thrive to new heights like the Casey Kasem's signature sign-off would say: "Keep your feet on the ground and keep reaching for the stars."

If you can, picture in your mind a parent seeing their new born taking five consecutive steps without falling for the first time. Picture a scientist finally discovering the cure for AIDS. Picture yourself finding and embracing your true love. Or picture an Olympian, against all odds, winning a goal medal while breaking the world record after ten years of practicing the same routine. Now in your mind, try to picture Louis Mercier. Picture me applying actions to having my own television show. No words can actually express how I felt today even if the new journey will be very long from concept to the screen. However, all I can say signing off: "One more step forward and "*&^%$#@! ;) Fear!"

"The path to success, in whatever form you wish to create it, requires a blend of faith, commitment, discipline, and consistency which help you to thrive to new heights."

-- Natasha Dern - Thoughts on thriving.

Happy Optimistic Day

Happy Thanks Giving to you and yours!

I am forever grateful and giving thanks to all my family, friends and fans.
Your caring smile and kind heart have kept me moving forward.

Giving thanks to my guarding angles on earth and in heaven. Yesterday is gone,
and by my side you are all, still, guiding my steps for a brighter tomorrow.

Giving thanks to each lover that crossed my path. Nothing compares to you!
The emotion of love kept me young, laughing, energized, reaching cloud nine in total happiness with each tender touch. Not to exclude the heart break, it kept me re-learning about myself, woman, relationships and being artistically driven while working through the pain.

Giving thanks to each pet that felt my lips with a warm kiss. Sorry for my saliva, missing you all.

Giving thanks and apologizing to this body of mine.
To the limit I've pushed you, and 'till this day you've helped me reach dreams, dead lines and life goals. May you rest in eternal peace when the time comes.

Giving thanks to this old heart of mine. What more can I say, you are and still remain a true friend. Keep strong and keep ticking!

Giving thanks to artist of all genres, especially to filmmakers, musicians and writers. Your arts made me the relentless person that I am today with numerous pictures, music or words that spoke to me and said:

"No matter how hard reality seems
Just hold on to your dreams

Don't give up and don't give in
Although it seems you never win
You will always pass the test
As long as you keep your head to the sky

If things around you crumble
No, you don't have to stumble and fall
Keep pushing on and don't you look back

I know the storms and strive
Cloud up your outlook on life
Just think ahead and you'll be inspired
To reach higher and higher.

You'll always do your best
If you learn to never say never
You maybe down, but you're not out.

Don't give up and don't give in
Although it seems you never win
You will always pass the test
As long as you keep your head to the sky
You can win as long as you keep your head to the sky (you can win child!)
You can win as long as you keep your head to the sky
Be optimistic"

Giving thanks for those who made the ultimate sacrifice with their lives in wars and protest march for man's stupidities. Because of your courage, vision and death, I sit here being free.

Last, but never forgotten... I give thanks to the factory worker that was sound asleep at the condom factory line. To you I am always grateful for giving me life.
When my father was intimate with my mother, he used the condom brand that had the hole that you forgot to check ;)

Toronto City - Part 1

By the hedge of Toronto, Ontario city

Where we sat down with friends and family

There I went to receive and share freely

Giving extol to a colorful journey

When hurdle, fear and bureaucracy

Held me down in captivity

Required of me faith and ruse to see victory

Now how shall I retain my stride

Entering a strange future century

Let the dreams of our youth

And the rhythms of our heart

Be the pillar in this flight

Forevermore starting tonight

By the hedge of this city

Where we sat down in glory

There we sanctify unity

And I Thank You!

“You (my fans) didn't have to love me like you did
But you did, but you did. And I thank you...”

Look at me Ma, still young, still standing!

Nothing changed, I’m on Maine Street hustling

Four flat tires, yet my blue star keeps towering

Against all odds, hands in a fist, remain fighting

Years ago we deleted fun, inflexible communicating

On the door of righteousness, I stood knocking

Rebel without a pause, my soul started burning

Second love had me revolting, turned to moving

A boy to a man, I became, apartment hunting

Umbilical cord has then been refastened, hugs uniting

New friendship, relationship, to keep cherishing

Look over here Pa, still myself, still laughing

Nothing is different, I’m a soul man surviving

Mr. Murphy to Mr. Pryor, had me B&W dreaming

Tech. engineering turned to professional acting

Now cutting my gray hair, time I’ll be buying

Look no hands, from truck to train, I'll be driving

Day and night, night and day, still working

I’ve yet to see daylight, every hour yawning

Late in the game, my head still spinning

Credit cards, profits, investments, online banking

Keep focus, stay on the right track, I’m trying

Expand my knowledge, books I’m reading

No drugs, no alcohol, no white wings, still flying

For this family’s light to keep empowering

Hey Sis, look who’s still confused about your yelling

Nothing said for years, heart still remains cracking

Time did tell, helped me understand for our bad timing

“Hold on”, I asked, “we can make it”, a change is coming

Someone’s anxiety, insecurity & anger needed managing

In my world, my mood ring needed a financial planing

“Do you remember the time?” Mr. Jackson was still alive singing

We were young, heaven in your eyes, 5 am phoning

Purple towel, dark berries, almond milk, so kind so amazing

Time spent watching you watching me, breathtaking

I swear, in my sleep, I can still hear red ladybugs mating

“Moved on” “Pass go”, must have been me lying

Each new names brought me back to jail, restarting

Before my inside turned popsicle, Jimmy was out looking

Live and let live, forgive and forget, love is blinding

Anything was possible, in our past, true love is believing

Freedom from the gray window pain, we’ll all be praying

Hard to accept from a resilient stand, apart is liberating

‘Till then, for my Ms. Obama, my angles will be drafting

A Bro! Take a look at my new style afro growing

Something did changed, your bald spot is reappearing

“Amandla! Commercial revolution!”, I’ll be leading

“Media equals self destruction” “stop mind polluting!”

Before we see Armageddon, man made brain washing

A single click, eye blink, humankind will be dying

Over the rainbow, tomorrow, is where I’m heading

“Free at last, free at last!”, know what I’m saying

For now, on Wall Street where I’ll be succeeding

“We shall overcome”, there I’ll be softly whispering

“Save the planet, for dummies”, I’ll be writing

Too black, too strong, for this man to be hiding

For my peace of the mind, I’ll be forever blogging

For my piece of the pie, I’ll keep penny saving

For my smile to remain sparkling, I’ll keep *&^%$#@!;)

--Louis Mercier

PS:

Look, I’m proud of you son, you’re now graduating!

Look, daughter of mine, you’re a true life’s blessing

Look, sorry I’m late for church, wife, tears of joy I was crying

Look, I love you too cat, but you’ve got to stop licking

Look, with God’s touch, I’ve reached a 100 years breading

Look again, look, I’m still strong and still standing ;)

Miracle Tears

"From the corner of my left eye
A teardrop persists from a past cry
All glare at my tear, felt shy
Guess I am that type of a guy
Question marks on their faces walking by
A tear streak so visible I couldn't lie
Instead of being caged, elevated me so high
Laughter tears are a miracle, they don't die
Lingers on my face so sweet like an apple pie
Above any clouds in the sky
Each time, made me fly"

"Oh! Mon Commandant"

Sometimes, I sit and think in a chair
To myself I say, with a blank stare
"Mankind has made life unfair"
"Wake up world!" I often dare
War & hate lives in a deadly pair
love, respect & unity becomes rare
Do you even care?

On August 24 2010, 15:15
Why must the good die young?
The cancer was maybe too strong
A man's soul laughter I shall missed
A man's warm gaze I shall missed
A man's deep voice I shall missed
My own pet name "Oh! Commandant" will be missed
Mankind's pollution & stressful demands
Won a battle, with the departing of this fine spirit
But have yet to be called victorious in this war

Where ever you may be, Pepe, job well done!
May you rest in eternal peace!

PS: Keep the smile fresh!
PS: Keep shinning a light in order to improving our lives

One love ;)
