One Year To Breathless

One Year To Breathless

If I had one year to live,
First, I would part with self-doubt and its mess
Rebel while brandishing my fist for progress
I would travel to 23 exotic countries, no less
Drink fame in a flask called happiness
Invite courage to sing as my wedding guess
I will fulfill a wish to marry Ms. Success
We would love each other in excess
Tickle her mind as we laugh in coach class
Eat rose petals to shield us from sadness
Awake her desire with Spanish words ending with S
To form a family of six to live in the annex
We would disturb the peace with our loud sex
Tell her daily "I LOVE U" in capital text
Film our dinner with Ms Bankruptcy, my ex
Then on my very last few breaths,
Hold my wife near, wipe away her tears next
"I've lived, I've laughed and I've loved"
"You've given me great joy to carry up above
"Peace has flown back into my heart like a dove"
"I will miss you like cold hands miss its gloves"
Since my cardiologist doctor's visit
You've added twenty two more years to my life
A lyric to my song: "You're simply the best, my love!"
