The Harder They Come

Well, the obstacles of life is trying to keep me down, trying to drive me underground. And they think that they have got the battle won, I say forgive them Lord, they know not what they've done. I'll keep on fighting for the things that I want, though I know when you're dead you can't. But I'd rather be a free man in my grave, than living as a puppet or a slave.

So as sure as the sun will shine, I'm gonna get my share now of what's mine.

And then the harder they come the harder they'll fall, one and all.

I've got a hard road to travel and a rough way to go.
But I can't turn back, my heart is fixed. My mind's made up, I'll never stop.

Today, the sun was shining, the weather was sweet
make you want to move your dancing feet.

After ten days straight, two o.t. and one triple shift, I was off on cloud nine.

Paid bills and commission, met 2A's Mom for the first time, met Jason, spoke with John, Mom & Dad, Sis on the cell phone. 

Texted...g and spoke...y

Now planning a week of fun and laughter. 

I am blessed for another day of sun shinning within.

Soca party, to the max, here I come!

Faith Is On My Side

There's an ice box where his heart used to be. Somewhere his heart turned cold, somehow her hair became more important then his call.

Never gave up trying. Silent cry, too tired of fighting.

He apologized, giving up on his love would meant give up on himself.

If life was a sport, named basketball, I would be Michael Jordan, who once said: "I have failed over and over in my life and that is why... I succeed". Like MJ, I have failed over and over again at my life's buzzer jump shop. But my time to succeed will come 'cause I have never stopped "trying".

Brother, don't wait until it's too late to ask for help.

No man is an Island on this Earth. We are there for you.

As you share your joy and your sorrow, a door will open soon after one will close.

Never give up the good fight

Just when you are about to give up against life's obstacles, whether it's financial, love, personal or family oriented, tell yourself: "Tomorrow, tomorrow I'll stop fighting". Keep delaying the end, you just might find solution to your problems the next day. If not, wait until the following day or night as you keep the good fight alive.

"Ain't no stopping me now, I am the move." Yesterday, with a smile, I received a letter at my doorsteps that reminded me that anything was possible if I truly believe.

Secret to advancement in life: "Each day, dare yourself to try something new or something that scares you in succeeding". Whether it's a call to make, people to meet or places to be. Do what you must and be bound for glory and we shall meet at "The mountain top".

Best Foreign Short Film for "Delivering Santiago" at the MCIFF

On September 22nd 2007, I was honored to attend the 5th anniversary presentation of the Motor City International Film Festival and to receive two awards for our labor of love.

"Perfect Pitch", directed by David Eng, produced by myself, won the MCIFF award.

"Delivering Santiago" won the 2007 Best Foreign Short Film, directed and produced by Tory Falkenberg. A film where I held the starring role and co-produced.

"Toussaint", directed by Tory Falkenberg, produced and starring myself, had previously won the 2004 Best Foreign Short Film award. We were blessed to revisit the city of Detroit, MI. and walking away with such prestigious award for our second time attending the festival.
